About The Position

Quesnel Plywood is currently recruiting for a Weekend Clean-up General Labourer position. This role involves removing wood waste and other debris from equipment and the surrounding area, manually cleaning equipment using tools, and utilizing compressed air or water hoses for cleaning. Responsibilities also include cleaning hydraulic tanks and performing fire watch activities during welding and other hot work.

• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Remove wood waste and other debris from within and around equipment and dispose of it in the hog.
• Enter into equipment and remove debris manually using tools like shovels and rakes and sometimes by hand.
• Use compressed air or water hoses to aid in cleaning equipment where entering the equipment is not possible or adequate cleanup requires these extra measures.
• Cleaning hydraulic tanks
• Performing fire watch activities (monitoring welding and other hot work to ensure a fire does not occur and to immediately address any incipient fires that start as the result of hot work)
