About The Position

BrightStar Care is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCA) and Caregivers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. This role involves providing compassionate, high-quality care to clients in their homes, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, transferring, hygiene, showering, companionship, and transportation. Immediate openings are available, and the company is hiring quickly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) / Caregiver
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (may vary by client needs)
• Current driver’s license and auto insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable working around household pets (cats/dogs)
• Valid physical and negative 2-step TB test
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Must comply with Drug-Free Workplace policy and pass drug screening
• Must successfully pass FBI and state background checks

Responsibilities

• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Assisting with showers, personal hygiene, and bed baths
• Safe transfers using gait belts or Hoyer lifts
• Monitoring vital signs
• Providing toileting assistance, including briefs, urinals, and bedpans
• Delivering basic and advanced dementia care
• Helping with repositioning for comfort
• Transportation support
• Pet care
