Weekend Caregiver
About The Position
McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. We provide one-on-one care in the home and are currently seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers for weekend opportunities through our Venice office. This is a great fit for caregivers, HHAs, and CNAs who are looking for weekend hours, supplemental income, or a flexible schedule while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, professional, and comfortable providing one-on-one care in a private home setting.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional attitude.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Current hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Current TB test, or willingness to obtain.
- Level 2 AHCA background screening, or willingness to complete.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe mobility.
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation, hydration, and medication reminders.
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Observe and report changes in client condition or concerns to the office team.
- Follow individualized care plans and complete required documentation.
