Weekend Caregiver
About The Position
Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate and hardworking individuals to serve as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). These roles involve making profound positive differences in the lives of people with disabilities by assisting them in learning, working, and playing in their communities. DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration within the person's supported home. They also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals and support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those supported. The organization emphasizes that previous experience is not required, as they will provide training for success.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have valid automobile insurance
- Basic computer skills
- Pass a background and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support
