About The Position

Senior Helpers is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to join their team in a Weekend Caregiver role. This position involves working full 16-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, offering a unique schedule that allows for flexibility during the week. The caregiver will provide high-quality, in-home care to seniors, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients while delivering essential daily support.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience preferred (professional or personal)
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to work long shifts (16 hours) with attentiveness and professionalism
• Strong communication skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable working in homes with pets (including cats)

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Observe and report changes in client condition
