About The Position

Join our warm and welcoming senior living community as a PT Weekend Activities Assistant! This role focuses on bringing smiles, creativity, and connection to our residents through engaging activities.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before residents or coworkers.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
• Ability to perform calculations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Attend or lead activities to ensure events run smoothly.
• Ensure activity supplies are available for scheduled activities.
• Organize, initiate, and execute the monthly activity calendar with varied activities.
• Follow the monthly activity calendar for residents based on their Social Interest Inventories, varied backgrounds, needs, and enjoyment.
• Honor residents' preferences and Social Interest Inventory.
• Collaborate with volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program, including the largest number of residents possible.
• Involve resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to help residents transition and maintain well-being and a positive state of mind.
• Encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintain all activity areas in a neat and orderly manner.
