About The Position
Join a network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, and work with structured bridal gowns featuring multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly, deliver high-quality finishing, and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The platform also receives requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear. This is an independent contractor role with the option to work from home and flexibility to accept jobs that fit your schedule.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
- Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring skills.
- Proficiency in machine and hand sewing.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including hemming, bustles, bodices and waists, straps, cups, and zippers.
- Work with structured bridal gowns involving multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle.
- Conduct fittings and take precise measurements.
- Communicate timelines clearly to clients.
- Deliver high-quality finishing.
- Maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
- Accept suitable client jobs through the platform.
