About The Position
Join a network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. The role involves altering wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including hemming, bustles, bodices and waists, straps, cups, and zippers. Work may also include structured bridal gowns with multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Seamstresses conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly, deliver high-quality finishing, and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The platform also receives requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
- Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring skills.
- Proficiency in machine and hand sewing.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
