About The Position
This role is for an independent alteration professional specializing in bridal and wedding wear. Responsibilities include altering various types of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, which involves tasks like hemming, bustling, bodice/waist adjustments, straps, cups, and zippers. The professional will work with structured bridal gowns that may have multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning, and tulle. Key duties also involve conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, clearly communicating timelines to clients, delivering high-quality finishing, and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The platform also provides requests for other formalwear such as prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits.
Requirements
- Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
