About The Position

Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses. This includes tasks such as hemming, bustle creation, bodice/waist adjustments, strap modifications, cup insertion, and zipper replacement. You will work with complex structured bridal gowns that often feature multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, and boning/tulle. The role involves conducting fittings, taking precise measurements, and clearly communicating project timelines. Delivering high-quality finishing and maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings are essential. The role also receives requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

Requirements

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge
• Precision measuring skills
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• Handle requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear
