About The Position

Vericast is seeking a Web Press Operator for the 2nd shift to operate web presses as directed, maintaining cleanliness and operation of the press. This role involves coordinating with internal agencies for required materials and ensuring the accuracy of printed materials. The position is in a year-round temperature-controlled, bright, and clean manufacturing printing team-based environment.

Requirements

Excellent work habits and willingness to be a team player.
Minimum 3 years offset/web printing experience preferred.
Ability to identify colors and imperfections.
Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement.
Ability to make decisions regarding the condition of paper rolls and quality specifications of stock being produced.
Ability to ensure basic operations of equipment are in good working order.
High Mechanical Reasoning Expectations.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. on occasion.

Responsibilities

Daily operation of web presses as directed by the press operator.
Maintain cleanliness and operation of the press.
Coordinate with internal agencies for required materials (ink, paper, tape, etc.).
Ensure accuracy of printed material coming from the press.
Perform press start-up procedures, including daily/weekly maintenance and safety checks.
Operate the machine, including print unit setup, numbering unit setup, process unit setup, and delivery unit setup.
Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after printing.
Perform clean-up and shut-down procedures at the end of the shift.
Communicate effectively with relevant departments.
