About The Position
As a Web First Press Operator, you will lead the press crew and take ownership of press setup, operation, and maintenance throughout the production run. Responsibilities include performing press make-readies, monitoring and adjusting color and registration, troubleshooting mechanical and print quality issues, and ensuring efficient operation of the press. You will also provide direction to the press team, coordinate workflow, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and drive productivity throughout the shift.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous web press operation experience required
- Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions
- Must be able to interact and cooperate with press team members and show an enthusiastic/positive attitude
- Must have ability to communicate (verbal/written) with press team members and all levels of management
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain press and all auxiliary equipment while guiding a crew to meet and exceed production standards while maintaining customer quality requirements
- Understand set-up and maintenance procedures for entire press
- Assist supervisors in providing feedback for employee evaluations
- Promote, enforce, and sustain safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
