About The Position

The Employee shall provide services as specified below in support of the Intranet application development and systems maintenance program. This role involves performing modifications to code in existing Intranet applications, including page design, layout, and database connectivity software. It also includes designing and developing new database-driven Intranet applications using MS SQL server and/or SQL Azure and Adobe ColdFusion middleware. Projects may require development of JavaScript functions, Common Gateway Interface (CGI) routines, and Microsoft .Net software. The position also entails providing technical support to users of Intranet applications, preparing documentation, and assisting with activities involved in maintaining Federal Information System Management Act (FISMA) compliance. Additionally, the role involves designing and developing scripts using R software for data analysis and providing technical support for Microsoft Office 365 tools, potentially including development or updating of business analytics tools like Power BI.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in web application development and web administration.
  • Background in SharePoint, PowerApps, PHP, .Net.
  • Knowledge of the Cloud and MS products like Octopus, Bamboo, Jira, BitBucket.
  • Familiarity with Jquery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Fundamental understanding of Microsoft .NET Framework, PHP, and Python.
  • Working knowledge of Internet programming using ColdFusion and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of Common Gateway Interface (CGI) programming.
  • Working knowledge of PHP, dot.Net, or C sharp.
  • Applied knowledge of database structure and relational database design.
  • Applied knowledge of database programming and the Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Working knowledge of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Telnet.
  • Understanding of the concepts of effective directory structure design and drive mapping across a network.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools, .Net, and Business Analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Knowledge of R, R Studio, and/or Python programming languages and statistical/math computing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain an NRC security clearance.
  • Must be able to qualify for IT-1 access to the NRC computer network.
  • Must complete NRC computer security training before having access to network services.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud migration of applications from native environments.
  • Bombay experience
