About The Position

Itasca Consulting Group is seeking a temporary Web Developer to join their team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves setting up web environments, configuring CMS themes, and performing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress, web design, and taxonomy, along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with design and sales teams. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in technical school or college.
  • Background in computer coding required including understanding of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
  • Ability to manage and update content on a WordPress website.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve basic coding issues.
  • Clear communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.
  • Attention to detail to maintain the integrity of the website's coding and content.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with WordPress best practices and new features.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to projects.
  • Basic time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Capability to handle and solve minor technical issues independently.
  • Enrollment in or completion of relevant coursework in web development, computer science, or a related field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without present or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN). Candidates on or for CPT/OPT are ineligible.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in writing, testing, and maintaining code for web applications.
  • Collaborate with the development team on implementing new features and functionalities.

  • Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code repositories and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and project-related information.
  • Implement and adhere to security best practices to ensure the integrity and safety of web applications.
