About The Position

The Senior Web Developer II designs, builds, and supports scalable, high‑quality web applications that directly enable key business capabilities. This role is an experienced individual contributor who owns features from requirements through production delivery and plays a critical role in improving system reliability, performance, and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Equivalent experience or relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years of professional web development experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience with: Java, EJB, and API development
  • Angular and TypeScript
  • Writing optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and working with relational databases
  • Ability to read/parse JSON and XML, and write unit/integration tests
  • Experience with Git and modern version‑control workflows
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and cybersecurity standards
  • Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments
  • Background in insurance or financial services
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or automated deployments
  • Experience with NestJS and Node.js

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop modern 3‑tier web applications across front-end, back‑end, and data layers
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, system integrations, and reusable services
  • Translate business requirements into clear, maintainable technical solutions
  • Deliver complex features end‑to‑end, including development, automated testing, deployment, and validation
  • Make informed technical decisions that balance long‑term maintainability with business needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on root‑cause analysis
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, QA, architects, and cross‑functional engineering teams
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices and standards
  • Support cloud‑based deployments, performance tuning, and scalability initiatives
