About The Position

The Web Developer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining secure, responsive, and user-friendly web applications supporting a mission-critical application modernization project. This role focuses on front-end and basic back-end development using Microsoft .NET, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and AWS cloud technologies. The Web Developer collaborates with UI/UX designers, software engineers, testers, and DevSecOps teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and accessible web applications while following Agile development, secure coding, and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in web application development.
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET/C#, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience developing responsive, interactive, and user-friendly web applications.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, backend integration, and relational databases such as SQL Server.
  • Experience with Git, software debugging, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
  • Understanding of web application security, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Background Investigation.
  • U.S. Citizenship to meet federal contract requirements.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based web application development.
  • AWS Certification and/or CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with SAST/DAST, automated security testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Section 508, WCAG, NIST, FedRAMP, and federal security requirements.
  • Experience supporting federal government, law enforcement, case management, or other mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive web applications using .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Perform front-end and basic back-end development to create interactive, functional, and maintainable web applications.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and technical teams to implement application requirements and user stories.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs, microservices, and backend services to support application functionality.
  • Ensure web applications are responsive, browser-compatible, and accessible across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
  • Apply secure coding practices, OWASP guidelines, and DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent tools, including automated builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Participate in SAST/DAST security scanning, vulnerability remediation, code-quality reviews, and automated testing.
  • Use Git-based source control and established debugging tools to troubleshoot application defects, integration issues, and performance problems.
  • Support web application development and deployment within AWS cloud environments.
  • Follow Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards and established software development best practices.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for application components, enhancements, and development activities.
