About The Position

Markon is seeking a Web Developer to support a program in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. The role maintains and supports user-accessible websites and web-based applications, contributes to website planning and deployment, and creates and maintains technical documentation. The work includes troubleshooting software problems, determining specifications with management and information technology teams, and using web technologies and tools to build website elements and applications. Up to 16 hours of telework per week may be available, depending on each week's tasking.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Eight years of experience as a Web Developer.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or an additional four years of web development experience in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience with JavaScript and front-end JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Experience developing applications that interface with REST-based APIs or services in Apache Tomcat/Java or NodeJS.

Responsibilities

Maintain a functioning user-accessible website.
Code less complex websites using HTML, Visual Basic, or other web-based programming languages.
Support website planning and deployment.
Write documentation regarding website technical requirements.
Maintain website technical documentation to assist with website maintenance and upgrades.
Apply concepts and develop, test, maintain, and support high-performance, innovative web-based applications.
Troubleshoot software problems and provide solutions using current technologies.
Work with management and information technology teams to determine specifications.
Use internet technologies, techniques, and tools—including graphics software and object-oriented languages—to create webpage elements such as user interface features, site animation, special effects, databases, and e-business applications.
