About The Position

Seeking a fast, accurate graphic designer with strengths in typography, branding, and print production. Work on a wide variety of marketing initiatives for Tennessee State Parks including but not limited to brochures, maps, menus, signage, and branded touchpoints for our six beautiful Lodges.

Requirements

• Rigorous attention to detail
• Ability to deliver quick, accurate, effective designs and problem-solving solutions
• Ability to work within a team of remote designers and adhere to established workflow processes
• Be able to take direction, take feedback, work independently, and adhere to brand standards
• Expert knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop, and prepping files for print
• Complete education in typographic standards including but not limited to em and en dashes and basic hyphenation rules
• Thorough knowledge of InDesign's typography tools including styles, tabs, word and line spacing, kerning, tracking, leading, text wrap, and indentation
• Excellent grammar skills
• Solid proofreading skills
• A good eye for photography, color, balance, hierarchy, and clarity
• Adobe Photoshop Advanced (7-9 Years)
• Operating Systems Mac OS Advanced (7-9 Years)
• Print production Advanced understanding of prepping files for print Advanced (7-9 Years)
• Typography Expert typographic skills Expert (10+ Years)
• InDesign Expert understanding of Adobe InDesign Expert (10+ Years)
• Adobe Acrobat Advanced (7-9 Years)
• Communication skills both verbal and written Advanced (7-9 Years)

• MicrosoftOffice Proficient (4-6 Years)
• BA in Graphic or Communication Design Advanced (7-9 Years)
