About The Position

A Japanese IT company providing system development, software solutions, and website production is seeking a Web Designer / Front-End Engineer. The role involves developing and maintaining clients’ websites and e-commerce sites, collaborating closely with designers and other team members in a friendly, collaborative environment. The company welcomes entry-level candidates, including self-taught applicants and recent graduates, who are eager to learn and grow.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Torrance, California, scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Compensation is $40,000–$60,000 per year, depending on experience, with the opportunity for a performance-based salary increase. Health insurance, PTO, and other company benefits are offered.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in Japanese and English is required.
• Experience in web design and/or front-end development; candidates of any experience level, including self-taught candidates and recent graduates, are welcome.

• Knowledge or experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Knowledge or experience with Webflow or Shopify.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build websites using platforms such as Webflow and Shopify.
• Create and update websites using CMS tools such as WordPress.
• Implement designs and simple animations based on design specifications.
• Ensure responsive design and perform quality checks across devices.
