About The Position

Expedia Group brands power global travel for everyone, everywhere. We design cutting-edge tech to make travel smoother and more memorable, and we create groundbreaking solutions for our partners. Our diverse, vibrant, and welcoming community is essential in driving our success. The Web Content Operations Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining the operational systems that underpin our content production — automating manual workflows, documenting processes, and ensuring no single person's absence creates a gap in our ability to ship. This role will also serve as a capable backup across content authoring, basic analytics, and optimization support, and will collaborate across design, development, and marketing to keep work moving through the pipeline efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in web operations, marketing operations, or digital content production — ideally on a lean team where wearing multiple hats was the norm.
  • Demonstrated experience building workflow automation using tools such as Zapier, Make, Power Automate, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
  • Active, daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar) to accelerate operational tasks — this should be a genuine description of how you already work, not an aspiration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, troubleshoot independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly when escalation is needed.
  • Experience authoring and publishing in at least one CMS at the level of page building, component configuration, and basic troubleshooting — Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience is a plus.
  • Strong written communication skills with a track record of producing documentation other people actually use.
  • Familiarity with GA4 and Google Tag Manager at a reporting and tag-validation level.
  • Basic knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and SEO sufficient to QA a page against established guidelines.
  • Experience with multi-locale or multi-region content operations a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience is a plus.
  • Experience with multi-locale or multi-region content operations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Audit existing workflows across publishing, QA, intake, and reporting — identifying every step that is manual, undocumented, or dependent on a single person — and build automated replacements using tools like Power Automate, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Use AI tools actively and daily to accelerate operational tasks including content QA, copy review, tag validation, localization checks, and process documentation.
  • Author, publish, and QA web page layouts and components in our CMS, verify features, and ensure pages are functioning correctly — serving as backup publisher during peak periods or team absences.
  • Manage the team's intake and workflow tooling (Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) and continuously improve it to reduce coordination overhead and manual status tracking.
  • Troubleshoot website and publishing issues and collaborate with developers for fixes as needed.
  • Coordinate content flow between designers, copywriters, and developers — tracking handoffs and flagging blockers before they become delays.
  • Maintain the team's knowledge base: SOPs, runbooks, onboarding documentation, and process guides written at a level of detail that makes every function transferable.
  • Support the web traffic analyst with GA4 report pulls, tag validation in GTM, and basic event QA on new and updated pages.
  • Consult with marketers and designers on existing CMS capabilities to support their goals without requiring new development.
