About The Position

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Marketing and Foundation, this role plans, develops, and maintains the college’s website, intranet platforms, and digital communication channels. It supports content creation for social media platforms to promote college programs, services, and initiatives while ensuring accurate, accessible, and engaging digital content that supports institutional priorities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of content management systems, web publishing, digital communication strategies, and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA), user experience principles, SEO, analytics, and digital content best practices.
  • Knowledge of institutional branding, copyright, FERPA, and applicable regulations related to digital communications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong written, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Skill in creating, organizing, publishing, and maintaining digital content across web, intranet, and social media platforms.
  • Skill in using CMS, SharePoint, social media management, and analytics tools.
  • Skill in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply accessibility standards and branding guidelines to digital content.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine website and digital communication issues.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging technologies, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Web Design, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of professional experience managing websites, digital communications, social media, or digital marketing.
  • Experience using the WordPress content management system (CMS), or a similar platform.
  • Experience creating and managing content for websites and social media.
  • Experience ensuring digital content meets accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Web Design, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience with SharePoint and content management systems used to support organizational communication and collaboration.
  • Experience using website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor and improve performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update the college website, intranet, and social media platforms to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with departments to create and publish content that supports institutional goals, recruitment, student success, and community engagement.
  • Ensure all digital content complies with applicable accessibility standards (WCAG and ADA) and promote best practices for accessible web and social media communications.
  • Monitor website content for accuracy, consistency, usability, and branding, coordinating regular content reviews with campus departments.
  • Manage the college's content management system (CMS), user permissions, and site organization.
  • Monitor website and social media analytics to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
  • Optimize web content for search engines (SEO) and user experience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing department colleagues to maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual standards across the college's website, intranet, and social media platforms.
  • Work with the Marketing department to post and create social media content.
  • Coordinate with Information Technology and external vendors to support website functionality, integrations, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain the college intranet as a central resource for employee communication, collaboration, and institutional information.
  • Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, accessibility requirements, and best practices in web development, digital communications, and social media.
  • Participate in institutional committees and meetings as needed.
  • Participate in campus activities and promote college programs and events to faculty, staff, students, and the community.
  • Participate in the College’s recruitment efforts by reviewing and providing recommendations for program publications, the College’s website, social media, marketing materials, and other community relations activities.
  • Maintain a high level of professional skills and abilities through participation in professional organizations, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or members of College Leadership.
