About The Position
We are looking for a Web Accessibility Consultant to support a government client in improving the accessibility of its websites, web applications, and digital content. The consultant will audit websites for WCAG 2.1 compliance, identify accessibility issues, document findings, and recommend or implement remediation solutions. The role will work closely with developers, designers, and content teams and provide accessibility training and guidance.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Web Accessibility, and Section 508
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and ARIA
- Experience with accessibility testing and remediation
- Familiarity with WAVE, Siteimprove, NVDA, or other screen readers
- Experience remediating web content and/or documents
- Strong communication and documentation skills
