Requirements
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be cleared by Occupational Nurse for vision and color vision.
- Must have basic math and computer skills.
- Follow all Safety Rules, and comply with the Job Safety & Health Analysis (JSHA).
- All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be used as required.
- Any accident or near miss must be reported immediately.
Responsibilities
- Cycle assigned weaving machines and repair stops to keep looms running.
- Inspect fabric for defects and take necessary corrective action.
- Follow all established Plant Safety rules.
- Correct all machine stops and flag all mechanical malfunctions.
- Clean filling feeders and reeds of weaving machines using the proper PPE.
- Perform preventative weaving to reduce stops.
- Make inspection cycles, initial cloth with green fabric pen, and record findings on the Cloth Inspection Form.
- Perform work in the most efficient manner to ensure the highest possible quality.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization of materials in the assigned work area.
- Keep management informed of problems affecting the quality and/or performance of the Weaving area.
- Complete Weaver DTM Checklist Daily.
