About The Position

Tex Tech Industries is hiring a Weaver for their Winthrop Location. This is a 2nd shift position, working Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 2 AM, with 10-hour days. The role is responsible for running a multi-loom assignment to produce first-quality material, setting up, operating, and tending machines that knit, loop, weave, or draw in textiles.

Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking for up to 10 hours a day.
• Frequent lifting, twisting, kneeling and bending.
• Frequent lifting of 10 to 75 lbs (with some assistance).
• Must have fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
• Must have good vision and be able to distinguish color variations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Running a multi-loom assignment.
• Start machines, monitor operations and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain the full work assignment in processing first-quality material.
• Repair the warp, filling breaks and other loom stops as needed.
• Doff the roll and cut when full.
• Record all necessary information on tickets, and production as required.
• Inspect cloth while weaving to ensure quality material is being produced.
• Replace empty cones with full ones when needed.
• Adhere to all safety rules and safe work practices at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
