About The Position

Geoquest USA, Inc. (formerly The Reinforced Earth Company) is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support. A Geosynthetic Weaver is a manufacturing role responsible for operating industrial looms to produce synthetic fabrics used in geotechnical engineering. These woven materials are crucial for soil stabilization, environmental containment, and erosion control in infrastructure and landfill projects.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is usually preferred.
Previous textile or industrial weaving, warping or tie in experience is highly desired.
Requires the ability to perform 8 hour shift work and regularly lift fill packages up to 20 lbs.
Strong attention to detail, basic math and measurement abilities, and basic reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Operating industrial looms to produce synthetic fabrics.
Monitoring the weaver set.
Patrolling and inspecting fabrics for defects, and stopping equipment off when necessary for repairs.
Verifying correct doff lengths and initial pattern for accuracy.
Repairing mechanical stops and assisting service associates in "doffing".
Maintaining a clean plant environment, adhering to safety protocols, and performing routine preventative maintenance on looms.
