About The Position
Evergreen Home Performance, a leader in Maine’s residential energy efficiency sector, is seeking a Supervisor for their Portland office. This role is ideal for a skilled technician or tradesperson with leadership aspirations who wants to guide a team in providing energy efficiency and basement waterproofing solutions. The Supervisor will be hands-on with installations like insulation and air sealing, while also managing daily operations, ensuring project quality and timeliness, and mentoring junior team members. This position offers the chance to take on greater responsibility, manage a team, and contribute to energy-efficient home improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in residential energy efficiency, basement waterproofing or a related trade (such as insulation, or general construction)
- Strong understanding of home construction, building science, and energy efficiency techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example
- Ability to manage a team, ensure accountability, and provide constructive feedback
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments and weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Valid Class C driver’s license

Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of technicians, ensuring team morale, high-quality work, and on-time project completion
- Perform energy efficiency services such as insulation and air sealing in attics, basements, and other areas of the home
- Provide training, guidance, and feedback to less experienced technicians
- Ensure projects are completed according to company standards, on schedule, and within budget
- Communicate directly with homeowners to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Ensure all work is performed safely, with attention to detail and adherence to quality standards
- Track job progress, report on team performance, and maintain accurate records
