Requirements

0-2 Years Experience Required
Current NJ-CPR Certification (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation Preferred
Exceptional customer service skills
Knowledge and demonstrated proficient use of current weapons screening equipment.
Proper use of force training
Communication – Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers
Fluently speaks, reads, and writes in the English language
Current Cooper de-escalation and violence prevention training

Responsibilities

Ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members through proper weapons detection screening processes as established by the security department.
Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills while protecting and preserving the interests and property the organization.
Ensuring that all individuals entering weapons screening areas are properly processed which may include searching personal belongings and/or hand-held metal detection screening of individuals to ensure no unauthorized weapons enter the facility.
Greeting all who enter the facilities in a pleasant manner.
Controlling the flow of all pedestrian traffic into the properties of Cooper Health System by directing visitors where and when necessary.
Conducting investigations and preparing resulting reports.
Monitoring visitor and employee behavior and when required utilizing verbal/non-verbal persuasive measures to insure compliance to policy and procedures.
Responding to emergent duress situations.
Driving security vehicle.
Performing all related duties or special projects as assigned/required.
