Overview of the Role: Seeking a highly motivated Platform Integration Lead to join the Citi Wealth Advisory & Investment Technology team. The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Platform Integration Expert, playing a pivotal role in driving the strategic integration of various technology platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability, and optimizing the end-to-end engineering journey. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of platform domains, diverse technologies, and enterprise architecture, dedicated to leveraging innovative solutions, including AI tools, to enhance efficiency and accelerate delivery. The ideal candidate will establish integration best practices, provide expert guidance, and align integration strategies with business objectives and architectural principles while overseeing development to deliver.

Requirements

Technical Acumen (Expert-Level Understanding): 15+ years of extensive experience in enterprise-level technology leadership roles, with a deep understanding of application development lifecycles, enterprise architectural principles, and operational best practices, particularly in complex, integrated environments.
Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate, and advise on complex technology landscapes, including distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), middleware, APIs, data integration patterns, and modern development practices (e.g., Microservices, CI/CD).
Expertise in governance frameworks related to technology infrastructure, data management, and application development within a highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of various software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, with a focus on how they apply to integration projects.
Demonstrable experience in evaluating and advocating for the strategic application of AI/ML technologies to optimize engineering processes and drive efficiency.

Risk & Controls Expertise: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing robust technology risk and control frameworks, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks inherent in complex platform integrations.
Financial Management Acumen: Strong background in technology budgeting, financial forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and managing technology spending effectively, especially for shared services and integration initiatives.
Strategic Planning & Communication: Exceptional ability to define technology strategy, create compelling roadmaps, and communicate vision effectively through various formats, including detailed integration plans, storyboards, and executive presentations.
Resource Strategy & Talent Development: Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, talent management, resource allocation, and developing strategies for attracting and retaining top technology talent specializing in integration.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing technical teams, diverse business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a proven track record of building, coaching, and motivating high-performing technology and operational teams focusing on integration excellence.
Highly collaborative, fostering a team-oriented environment and promoting knowledge sharing across functions.
Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple complex initiatives, and drive high-quality outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced financial services environment.

Extensive experience in leading and managing technology enablement, operations, and strategic initiatives for large, complex, and critical enterprise functions within the financial sector, with a specific focus on platform integration.
Demonstrated ability to balance rapid time-to-market and client delivery needs with robust governance, compliance, and audit mandates inherent in a regulated environment.
Strategic thinker with the ability to define technology vision, influence architectural direction, and make sound technology decisions that support business objectives.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in integrated ecosystems.
Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations, negotiate strategic solutions, and foster strong relationships across various business and technology functions.
Deep experience working in the financial services domain, specifically with Wealth Advisory and Investment Management products or platforms.
Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Strategic Integration Roadmap & Storyboard Development: Lead the definition and communication of platform integration strategies and roadmaps for Citi Wealth Advisory & Investment Technology, translating complex technical integration plans into clear, compelling narratives and visual storyboards for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Risk & Controls Management for Integrations: Oversee and enhance risk management and control frameworks specifically for platform integrations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to safeguard data integrity and system security across interconnected platforms.
Financial Management & Optimization for Integration Services: Contribute to financial planning, budgeting, and cost optimization efforts related to platform integration projects and shared technology services, identifying opportunities for efficiency and maximizing the value derived from integration investments.
Staffing & Resource Strategy for Integration Excellence: Contribute to resource strategy and planning for integration teams, advising on skill requirements, team structures, and fostering a collaborative environment for successful platform interoperability.
AI-Driven Engineering Efficiency: Drive the adoption and application of AI tools and advanced automation across the development and entire engineering journey to significantly enhance efficiency, accelerate integration cycles, improve quality, and foster continuous innovation within Citi Wealth Advisory & Investment Technology.
Operational Excellence & Integration Governance: Champion operational excellence and governance best practices within platform integration, establishing standards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure seamless and efficient interoperability across the technology landscape.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, and internal audit to translate strategic business requirements into robust platform integration strategies and executable plans, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
Platform Integration Lifecycle Oversight: Provide expert oversight across the platform integration lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, and operational readiness, with a focus on risk mitigation, security, and performance.
Subject Matter Expertise & Innovation: Act as a primary Subject Matter Expert for complex integration challenges, identifying and resolving inter-platform dependencies, technical inefficiencies, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance system interoperability, resilience, and business value.
Leadership & Guidance: Provide leadership and expert guidance to technology teams involved in integration efforts, fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment.
Partnership with Architecture & Engineering: Partner with architects and engineering leads to ensure that platform integration solutions are designed and delivered in alignment with strategic objectives, architecture principles, and operational standards.
