About The Position

This is a financial planning role within PNC Wealth Management. As a Wealth Strategist — a role similar to an investment strategist, paraplanner, or financial planning consultant — you will partner with PNC Wealth Management Financial Advisors to build, analyze and deliver comprehensive financial plans. You will also have the opportunity to join advisors in client meetings and present the plan and recommendations directly to clients. We are seeking candidates with prior experience as a financial planner, paraplanner, financial advisor, associate advisor, or supporting an advisor with financial planning. CFP® certification (or progress toward it) and experience with financial planning software such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro are strongly preferred. This is an in-office position, based in a PNC office in one of the locations listed above.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a financial planner, paraplanner, financial advisor, associate advisor, or supporting an advisor with financial planning.
  • University/college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, consults on and implements matters of tax, estate and financial planning for clients, with guidance from team members or management.
  • Assists in the acquisition of new clients.
  • Retains, expands and deepens existing relationships.
  • Conducts research, as appropriate, and develops tax, estate and financial analyses and plans.
  • Makes generally accepted recommendations to team and may make recommendations to clients.
  • Retains and grows assets under management by working directly and meeting with clients and Centers of Influence and providing advice and implementation under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Identifies solutions and PNC services as sales opportunities to enhance existing client relationships.
  • Develops new client relationships through networking, prospecting and referrals.
