About The Position

The Planning Consultant is responsible for advancing the wealth planning experience across Private Wealth Management, Ascent, and Personal Trust by providing planning expertise, coaching, training, and consulting support to relationship managers and business partners. This role serves as a trusted advisor and field-facing planning resource, helping teams deepen planning conversations, identify client opportunities, strengthen planning acumen, and improve adoption of planning best practices. The consultant partners directly with advisors, private wealth advisors, trust officers, and business leaders to deliver education, coaching, and strategic guidance that drives business growth and enhances the client experience. The Planning Consultant develops and delivers training programs, coaching strategies, educational content, and field readiness initiatives that increase planning knowledge, confidence, and effectiveness. The role also collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance planning capabilities, support new hire onboarding, and process improvement. In addition, the consultant provides subject matter expertise on complex planning topics, conducts quality reviews and case consultation, and helps ensure planning practices remain aligned with business objectives and risk management expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of wealth management experience
