About The Position

Supports Wealth Planning team with advanced wealth planning analyses for asset protections and sustainability and tailored to clients and prospects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 years’ work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong proficiency with pertinent spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software
  • Experience rapidly learning new software applications
  • Strong research skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year’s relevant work experience
  • Expert level proficiency with pertinent spreadsheet software modeling

Responsibilities

  • Compile wealth planning information from clients, including tax forms, account statements and personal information; determine other required information that is needed.
  • Work closely with Planning team to develop clear and concise presentations that effectively communicate complex solutions.
  • Provide research support and quantitative analyses on technical matters related to wealth planning topics or client concerns.
  • Maintain semi-direct client contact under guidance of more experienced personnel.
  • Maintain an understanding of the general ramifications of current Federal tax law and review wealth planning reports for errors and talking points based on this knowledge.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $36.48 - $60.80 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
