Wealth Onboarding Specialist

About The Position

Signal Advisors is seeking an Onboarding Specialist who will guide investment advisors through a high-stakes move: bringing their book of business to Signal Wealth. You’ll be the operational point person for RIAs and IARs from kickoff to go-live, coordinating paperwork, custodian transfers, and every milestone in between. You won’t just process transfers; you’ll find the friction in each stage of a transition and take it out—using AI and automation where they help. Within 90 days you’ll be running transitions largely on your own across several advisors at once, and within a year you’ll own them end to end and have measurably shortened how long each stage takes. You'll report to the Wealth Onboarding Manager and work daily with the Wealth Onboarding & Transitions team and the rest of Wealth Operations. You'll also partner closely with Sales, Advisor Success, and Investment Solutions. Hands-on RIA transition and custodian experience is essential; licensing and systems experience are an asset.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience running advisor or account transitions at an RIA or broker-dealer, from kickoff through accounts transferred
  • Working knowledge of Fidelity and/or Schwab custodial platforms, including ACAT and non-ACAT transfers and custodian paperwork
  • A track record of managing several transitions or projects at once without missing deadlines
  • Clear, proactive written communication with advisors and partners—and the composure to handle tense conversations
  • Composure under pressure: when a custodian rejects paperwork and an advisor is frustrated, you stay calm and focused on the fix
  • Proactive communication: you send the status update before anyone has to ask for it
  • At your best with moving pieces: tight deadlines, high stakes, and several transitions at once energize you rather than wear you down
  • Detail at scale: you keep a very large book and a small one moving at the same time without dropping details
  • Ownership when things stall: when a transfer gets stuck, you dig in and move it forward instead of waiting for direction

Nice To Haves

  • Series 65 or 66 license
  • Experience with Orion, Salesforce, or similar portfolio, billing, and CRM systems
  • Experience running re-paper transitions, not only custodian-to-custodian moves
  • Experience using AI tools to catch errors, document, or improve an onboarding or transition process

Responsibilities

  • Guide new advisors from kickoff to go-live as their main operational contact—tracking timelines and milestones so every transition lands on schedule
  • Move client accounts and assets accurately with custodians like Fidelity and Schwab, across ACAT and non-ACAT transfers
  • Prepare and review advisory documents and client data so paperwork is right the first time
  • Resolve transition roadblocks—rejected paperwork, missing data, custodian delays—directly with custodians by phone and platform
  • Keep advisors, internal teams, and vendors updated on every transition before they have to ask
  • Shorten each stage of a transition by tightening the process and putting AI and automation to work on manual steps

Benefits

  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage
  • FSA or HSA-eligible health plans
  • 3% 401k company contribution with no vesting period
  • Paid parental leave for all parents
  • Learning & Development stipend
  • Wellness Programs
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Dedicated sick days
  • 10 company-wide holidays
  • $500 for your home office setup
  • Competitive equity package based on on role and level
