About The Position

The Wealth Management Summer Internship Program at D.A. Davidson Companies is a paid internship designed to provide students with valuable insight into the financial services industry and the operations of an employee-owned firm. Interns will work directly with experienced Financial Advisors and other financial professionals, observing the day-to-day management of a successful practice serving individual investors. The program includes hands-on project collaboration, an immersive week in the Seattle corporate office with executive leadership, and the opportunity to study for and potentially pass the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, with D.A. Davidson sponsoring test preparation and testing. This internship aims to develop skills in wealth management, build professional networks, and earn professional licensing.

Requirements

Students must have completed at least sophomore year of college prior to June 2027
Demonstrated strong academic performance and professional drive
Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, teamwork, and service skills
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Satisfactory results of background, reference, and credit check
Ability to commit to the duration of the program
Live within the local area of branch office or have pre-existing arrangements to live in the area for the duration of the program. Transportation and/or moving assistance will not be provided.

Responsibilities

Observe firsthand what it takes to run a successful, ethical practice serving individual investors’ needs.
Gain hands-on experience by collaborating on various projects that support Financial Advisors and their clients.
Interact and hear from Executive and Senior Leadership and Department Heads in all areas of the firm.
Participate in presentations, community service, and team building activities.
Study and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.
