About The Position
As one of our Wealth Management Consultants, you will be a key member of our wholesaling team leading sales initiatives in the Cross Channel segment, identifying firm and firm representatives' needs and coordinate efforts to serve those needs. You’ll manage American Funds Distributions presence, relationships and business results with key firms. You excel at delivering motivational and informative presentations. You’re motivated by setting goals and measuring your performance against them. You are a well-rounded collaborator and work skillfully with other Senior Sales Force members to identify opportunity for better investor outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven track record in third-party distribution.
- Broad knowledge of the ETF, Mutual Fund, SMA and CIT business and sales cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships.
- Proven track record and a deep technical knowledge of portfolio construction.
- Ability to leverage technologies to create custom analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
- Well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner.
- One or more of the following designations: Series 7, AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, and CFA.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales initiatives in the Cross Channel segment.
- Identify firm and firm representatives' needs and coordinate efforts to serve those needs.
- Manage American Funds Distributions presence, relationships and business results with key firms.
- Deliver motivational and informative presentations.
- Collaborate with other Senior Sales Force members to identify opportunities for better investor outcomes.
- Effectively lead and motivate a territory team consisting of an Internal Wholesaler, Divisional Wholesaler and Regional Wholesaler.
- Partner with Retirement Plan Wholesaler, asset class, vehicle and practice management specialists to drive results.
