About The Position

PlainsCapital Bank is currently looking to hire a Wealth Management Assistant in Lubbock, Texas. The Wealth Management Assistant is responsible for assisting Wealth Management administrators by providing administrative assistance, handling customer requests, assisting clients/beneficiaries, and assisting with special projects within the department. Responsible for general administrative support duties as well as specific tasks related to client accounts including, but not limited to monitoring account balances, preparing correspondence, verifying transactions, etc. Collects and prepares data and reports for various needs in the Wealth Management Oil and Gas department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in a financial services company.
  • Must have a professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task is essential.
  • Strong computer skills; must be proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Superior time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in oil & gas strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route telephone calls, greet visitors, provide information to authorized individuals, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Assist with new account setup by preparing documentation, agreements, transfer paperwork, and verifying title information in the mineral management system.
  • Support trust administration by assisting clients, maintaining accounts, completing account maintenance and closing documentation, and participating in annual account reviews.
  • Prepare committee documentation, agendas, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and record meeting minutes for Trust Administrative Committee and Director’s Trust Committee meetings.
  • Process trust account transactions, including deposits, contributions, invoice payments, checks, and wire transfers, while maintaining accurate records in trust accounting systems.
  • Review and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing correspondence, and maintain departmental spreadsheets and reports.
  • Image, index, file, and track Oil & Gas and trust-related documents to ensure accurate recordkeeping and document control.
  • Conduct account research, resolve operational issues, and assist with audit, examination, compliance, and data-gathering activities.
  • Assist with marketing materials, special projects, and other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
