About The Position

The Wealth Management Advisor will provide objective advice and develop customized/comprehensive financial plans for NLCU members. You will identify business opportunities, establish members’ financial objectives, gather, process and analyze relevant information to develop a financial plan and continue to monitor that plan. The Wealth Management Advisor will also gather and attempt to consolidate members’ assets and liabilities from outside our organization and transfer them into NLCU. Through establishing, developing and maintaining long-term, full-service relationships with existing members, as well as the solicitation of new individuals and businesses, you will grow your portfolio. With a positive member experience being top priority, you will provide specialized expertise in all aspects of financial planning, including recognizing and referring members and potential members to branches to expand members’ total relationship with NLCU for lending, deposit, tax preparation and other related products/services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in investment and/or insurance sales and financial planning.
  • Ability to expand a current book of business by maximizing existing relationships.
  • Completed, or willing to complete, a recognized Personal/Certified Financial Planner designation.
  • Hold or willing to complete a valid Life License (LLQP).

Nice To Haves

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent industry experience is an asset.
