About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Wealth Client Investment Analytics Specialist in Wealth and Investment Management as part of Wells Fargo Advisors. In this role, you will collaborate with Financial Advisors and their clients, delivering advanced investment analysis, judgment-based recommendations, and implementation strategies that directly influence client portfolio construction and outcomes. You will analyze and consult on low to moderately complex implementation strategies including allocation adjustments, sequencing plans, and tax-aware execution and rebalancing through judgment-based investment analysis, including performance attribution, risk evaluation, and policy alignment. You will serve as a strategic advisor to influence low to moderately complex portfolio decision making, explain analyses, clarify investment tradeoffs, and support recommendation delivery. You will also prepare materials for allocation changes, rebalancing activities, and trade proposals, and produce analytics, attribute summaries, and maintain documentation supporting compliance and audit needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of investment research, portfolio analysis, and performance analytics or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • US only: Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position.
  • Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory.
  • In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply.
  • Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
  • Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance.
  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements.
  • Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
  • In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.
  • Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional investment credentials preferred, including CFA (earned or in progress); CAIA or CIPM considered beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including proficiency with Excel, portfolio analytics tools, and advanced investment analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment topics into clear, actionable insights for partners and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Present recommendations exercising independent judgment on low to moderately complex research, scenario modeling, and product/manager evaluations to present recommendations and documenting due diligence rationale
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to influence low to moderately complex portfolio decision making, explain analyses, clarify investment tradeoffs, and support recommendation delivery
  • Prepare materials for allocation changes, rebalancing activities, and trade proposals
  • Produce analytics, attribute summaries, and maintain documentation supporting compliance and audit needs
