About The Position

Girard, a Wealth Division of Univest, is hiring a Wealth Advisor Associate to join our Souderton based team. This role built for an early-career professional who is eager to deepen their investment knowledge, earn required securities licensing, and grow into a client-facing advisor. In this position, you’ll support portfolio monitoring, prepare client-ready materials, and partner closely with our Wealth Advisors, Financial Planning, Operations, and Compliance teams to deliver a high-quality client experience and help uncover opportunities to deepen relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, psychology, or related field
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets, economics, along with a record of academic excellence and professional drive.
  • Series 7, 66, or 63/65 registrations and PA Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses OR ability to obtain within six months timeframe.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all individuals within an organization to achieve common goals.
  • Proficiency for learning and using investment management and other related industry software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal partners.
  • Self-starter with the ability to set priorities, execute responsibilities, and exceed client expectations
  • Team oriented mindset and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Support our team of Wealth Advisors in all aspects of the business development and relationship management cycles.
  • Learn all aspects of our wealth management business including investment management, financial planning, trust services, and relationship management.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s investment philosophy and selection process; gain in-depth knowledge of the investment solutions we offer.
  • Monitor and review client portfolios to ensure alignment with investment objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance.
  • Once appropriately licensed and trained, communicate with clients regularly to review portfolio updates and changes to their financial situation or investment goals.
  • Prepare client materials including presentations, investment proposals, and review documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, compliance, and client service) to ensure accurate account onboarding and adherence to firm policies and industry regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions, and business development activities.
  • Work closing with our Financial Planning team and fellow associates to gain a deeper knowledge of our financial planning tools and processes. Apply this knowledge to support the delivery of high-quality financial plans.
  • Leverage Salesforce CRM to manage client relationships, track interactions, and maintain accurate pipeline activity.
  • Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.
