About The Position

The Wax X-Ray Operator is responsible for inspecting, testing, sorting, sampling, or weighing processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. This role may involve using precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. The operator must handle hazardous waste in accordance with safety guidelines and company policy, perform wax x-ray and wax wall functions, and inspect wax walls. Recording data on control charts and daily time sheets, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and observing all safety requirements are also key responsibilities. The position requires the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and maintain a positive work atmosphere. The operator must also be able to handle high stress associated with high activity and tight deadlines, and pass a Jaeger vision test.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc.
  • Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity.
  • Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record.
  • Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.
  • Have strong sense of urgency.
  • Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
  • Must pass Jaeger vision test.
  • Able to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous casting experience is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and may be substituted by experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.
  • Handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
  • Perform wax x-ray and wax wall functions.
  • Inspect wax walls.
  • Record all data on supplied control charts.
  • Record all work performed on daily time sheets.
  • Keep the work area clean, orderly and in safe working condition.
  • Observe all safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as are designated by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
