About The Position
As a Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, you are the expert in the room, trusted by guests for their skin, comfort, and confidence. You will deliver high-quality waxing services in your own private suite, build relationships with returning guests, and grow a loyal book of business within the support of a nationally recognized brand. Ballast Wax, a fast-growing multi-unit EWC franchisee, invests heavily in the development of its Wax Specialists, offering ongoing training, brand education, and a supportive team environment focused on technical, professional, and financial growth.
Requirements
- Hold an active Esthetician or Cosmetologist license in the state where you're applying.
- Care about your guests beyond the service, remembering names, asking about their skin, and building trust.
- Be comfortable recommending products and services, educating confidently.
- Take sanitation and standards seriously; your suite should always be guest-ready and protocols never compromised.
- Be a learner, showing up to training ready to grow.
- Be available when guests are, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional waxing services in accordance with EWC brand protocols and licensing requirements.
- Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
- Educate guests on post-wax care, service frequency, and what to expect.
- Build genuine relationships that keep guests coming back and referring friends.
- Recommend skincare products and service packages that genuinely serve your guests.
- Consistently achieve rebooking, product sales, and Wax Pass goals.
- Leverage product knowledge and consultative approach to drive retention.
- Contribute to center-wide performance targets.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized wax suite at all times.
- Adhere to all sanitation standards and state licensing laws without exception.
- Uphold brand standards and model the EWC guest experience.
- Participate in ongoing training, skill development, and center meetings.
- Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment.
- Bring curiosity and commitment to your craft.
