About The Position

We’re looking for a Wax Injection Mold Machine Operator to operate wax injection molding equipment used to produce precision wax patterns, gating, sprues, and related components for aerospace manufacturing. This role supports production by setting up and operating molding equipment, inspecting finished parts, and ensuring quality, safety, and process standards are met. At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ months of manufacturing, machine operation, production, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate machinery and tooling.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality standards.
  • Ability to monitor machine performance and recognize process issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform visual inspections.
  • Good hand dexterity and ability to perform repetitive, precision tasks.
  • Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Injection molding experience.
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
  • Experience working with precision components, tooling, or inspection processes.
  • Experience reading engineering practices or manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate wax injection molding machines following engineering practices and work instructions.
  • Prepare and install dies, cores, and tooling for production runs.
  • Load materials and monitor machine settings, including temperature, pressure, and cycle parameters.
  • Produce wax patterns, sprues, gating, and related components to quality standards.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects and perform minor cleaning or deflashing as needed.
  • Obtain and verify x-ray results for cored patterns when required.
  • Complete production paperwork and sign off on routers.
  • Perform daily TPM checks and maintain equipment and work areas.
  • Transfer completed parts to the next operation and communicate quality concerns or production issues.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and standard work requirements.
