About The Position

Conducts preliminary inspection of wax parts/molds for defects and anomalies. Assembles and cleans wax molds onto sprues per applicable wax techniques. Verifies quantities of wax molds/parts to work orders. This is a sedentary position in which a worker will usually be performing the job in a seated position. This job does require some repetitive motions of the hands and fingers to perform the inspection and repair processes of this job. This job may require employee to stand, walk and extend arms to reach to perform the functions of this job. Some lifting of up to 35 lbs is a sporadic function of this job. No ear protection is required. This is an assembly line, production atmosphere consisting of equipment and tools necessary to successfully perform job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Visually examines parts/molds for defects such as pimples, air bubbles, flash, budding lines, flow lines and sink.
  • Verifies quantity of parts/molds to work order.
  • Performs repair work on waxes using tools such as hot knives, carving tools, mirrors, and scrapers.
  • Conducts repair work and assembles waxes onto sprues using “wax techniques”.
  • Conducts final inspection of completed waxes.
  • Performs basic mathematical equations.
  • Performs the responsibilities of other functions when the workload necessitates.
  • May be required to work nights.
