About The Position

We are looking for a Waves Consultant to help us support our continued growth. The Waves Consultant reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems, business requirements and user needs. They are able to independently formulate and implement more complex systems / solutions that meet client business strategies. The consultant is responsible for conducting meetings and preparing business process documentation, process flow analysis, technology-enabled process improvement/redesign, requirements definition, data modeling and detailed functional design. This person begins to demonstrate expertise in major / minor areas. The consultant is able to lead and manage their own Waves Programs. Waves consultants typically focus on innovation with Salesforce instances that have been implemented with an existing user base. Waves consultants bring strategic guidance, governance, innovation, and support expertise and are able to work across multiple work streams in parallel. This requires a blended skillset of project management, solution design, and agile development to bring Salesforce best practices to our clients. The Waves Consultant position is a leadership role both for our Waves teams and for client engagements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of work experience in the field and at least 1 year of consulting experience
  • Technical Background / Degree Program preferred
  • Minimum of an active Salesforce Administrator or other Salesforce certification required
  • Able to discuss experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to discuss the benefits of a Software as a Service (SaaS) model
  • Basic Knowledge of implementation and configuration of enterprise systems such as CRM or ERP
  • Ability to learn quickly and think creatively
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Must have full-time permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Works effectively individually and with Coastal and client team members to achieve customer success
  • Takes direction from project team members and immediate supervisor, but takes initiative and shows leadership when appropriate
  • Is able to exercise independent judgment on small and medium sized client engagements, or take a lead role on key components of a larger project
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform Salesforce.com administration / configuration / data migration / integration duties as directed
  • Is able to effectively facilitate meetings and demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills
  • Is able to project manage small to medium sized capacity based programs including acting as the point of contact for the client, manage scope, timeline, and budget within the program, and coordinate Coastal and client resources
  • Is able to facilitate strategic quarterly planning sessions with client to generate, prioritize, and plan a continuous innovation cadence
  • Demonstrates the ability to design solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet client needs, estimate the level of effort required to implement, and coordinate a team sprint plan to complete
