About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting and leading the daily operations of the Maintenance Department while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rides, attractions, and facility systems throughout the water park. This role performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses and repairs mechanical issues, and assists with troubleshooting electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water quality, and other equipment-related systems. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic plays a key role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing equipment downtime, supporting guest satisfaction, and responding to emergency maintenance situations as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in electrical, plumbing, water quality, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid TSSA ADM-WS license is an asset.
  • Previous experience supervising maintenance staff is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in water parks, hospitality, amusement, or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department and assist with supervising maintenance staff.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on rides, attractions, and facility equipment while diagnosing and repairing issues as they arise.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pumps, pneumatic, and water systems.
  • Ensure all rides and attractions operate safely and comply with TSSA ADM-WS standards.
  • Conduct daily facility inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain safe work practices and provide excellent guest service.
  • Respond to guest repair requests and emergency situations as required.
  • Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, PPE requirements, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
  • Assist with snow removal and ice management when required.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.
  • This position requires being on-call for emergency situations.
