About The Position

Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Waterpark/Pool Attendants. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all guests. Waterpark Attendants will oversee various park attractions, including slides, lazy rivers, and play structures, while enforcing safety guidelines, assisting guests, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the park.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate physical activity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, professional, and safety-conscious demeanor.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or recreation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Guest Safety & Supervision: Monitor designated areas such as water slides, lazy rivers, and play structures.
Enforce all safety rules and guidelines to prevent accidents or unsafe behavior.
Ensure guests adhere to all standard operating procedures, including all posted waterpark rules.
Adhere to all waterpark operating procedure manuals, checklists, and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with guests, addressing their questions and concerns.
Assist in waterpark opening and closing duties.
Close the pool immediately in the event of a contamination and notify management.
Park Cleanliness & Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of attractions and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
Ensure the park is free of litter, trash, and debris.
Clean clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed.
Ensure waterpark bathrooms are clean, stocked with supplies, and free of standing water.
Straighten pool furniture regularly, ensuring it is clean and in working order at all times.
Ensure waterpark and pool equipment are properly stored and organized.
Safety & Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and vacuuming pools.
Cleaning skimmer baskets.
Backwashing pool filters.
Skimming pools with a skimmer as needed.
Ensure safety equipment is present and in working order.
Check first aid kit daily for needed supplies.
Assist in maintaining proper water quality and cleanliness, including:
Operational Support: Assist with crowd control and line management at slides and other attractions.
Respond quickly and professionally to guest concerns or minor incidents.
Work collaboratively with other staff to uphold safety and guest satisfaction.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
