As a Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer PE, you'll drive sophisticated design challenges across a diverse portfolio from treatment process upgrades and facility expansions to new treatment infrastructure. You'll serve as a trusted technical resource for clients and project teams, mentor emerging engineers, and contribute to business development, positioning you for continued growth within the firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 4 – 10 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment process design and facility engineering
  • Familiarity with a variety of physical, biological, and chemical treatment processes for treating water and/or wastewater
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others

Nice To Haves

  • experience with Revit or hydraulic/process modeling software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities including treatment processes, mechanical systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Evaluate existing treatment systems and develop innovative solutions that meet regulatory, environmental, and budgetary requirements
  • Coordinate with internal and external project teams on project delivery and permitting
  • Maintain quality control of plans, specifications, and deliverables
  • Build and maintain client relationships while participating in business development and proposal preparation
  • Assist in providing leadership and growth for established regional water/wastewater group
