About The Position

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Water and/or Wastewater Operator with a minimum Grade II ADEQ Operator Certifications (AAC Title 18, Chapter 5). The successful candidate will conduct wastewater treatment plant operation, maintenance activities and training, and/or assist in water supply, treatment, and distribution. Services are to be provided, in general, for small rural facilities located throughout Arizona. Facility types can range from simple to complex. Position will be based at the Tempe, Arizona office location, but remote work is possible option depending on experience. The ability to become Grade III operator is preferred; the ability to hold both Water and Wastewater certifications is preferred; classes, testing fees and study materials will be provided by Broadbent.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to become Grade III operator
• Ability to hold both Water and Wastewater certifications
• General knowledge of commercial electrical systems (control wiring and pumps)
• General knowledge of commercial plumbing methods
• Previous commercial/industry experience

Responsibilities

• ADEQ Certified Grade II Water and/or Wastewater Operator required (AAC R18-5-406 & 407). One or more of the following: Grade 2 Water Distribution System Operator, Grade 2 Wastewater Collection System Operator, Grade 2 Water Treatment System Operator, Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment System Operator
• Compliance water and wastewater sample collection
• Maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems
• Work independently in field conditions under supervision of the Division Manager
• Desire and ability to train other operators
