About The Position

RVE, an Ardurra company, is seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Design Engineer to join its team in Egg Harbor Township, Secaucus, Morganville, or Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Water and wastewater improvements make up a significant portion of the firm's project portfolio. The team works on water treatment projects, including treatment for PFNA, PFOA, PFOS, and 1,4-Dioxane.

The position plans, designs, and performs analysis for water and wastewater engineering projects, including water mains, sanitary mains, pumping stations, and water and wastewater treatment facilities. The engineer will work both independently and as part of a team, producing project deliverables and supporting inspection, permitting, proposals, and client and utility coordination. The ideal candidate has approximately 7 to 15 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater and/or public works engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Approximately 7 to 15 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater and/or public works engineering is identified as ideal.
• Ability to clarify and concisely express thoughts verbally and in written correspondence, reports, and specifications.
• Effective communication, management, and writing skills.
• Ability to work on both group and individual assignments.
• Ability to seek guidance or assistance when needed to expedite assignment deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• PE license is highly valued.
• AutoCAD capability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic calculations and develop layouts for structures.
• Produce correspondence, reports, and biddable documents for water treatment plants, wells, water storage tanks, pumping stations, piping systems, and wastewater treatment plant improvements.
• Provide engineering support to the inspection department.
• Represent the firm to townships, utility authorities, and private utility companies.
• Draft concise proposals for new work.
• Manage multiple simultaneous assignments and deliver them on time and within budget.
• Proactively identify problems and issues, analyze them, and develop effective resolutions.
• Produce all deliverables associated with the position.
• Perform regulatory permitting.
