About The Position

Multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their Fayetteville team! This role involves serving as an Associate Project Manager on small-to-mid-sized projects, overseeing project deliverables, and ensuring timely completion by securing appropriate resources. The Project Manager will be the primary client contact, responsible for developing and communicating project scope, schedule, and budget, as well as building and maintaining client relationships and coordinating contract negotiations. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior staff, adhering to regulations, enforcing safety standards, and meeting client expectations.

Requirements

  • Associates degree with equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of project experience
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater services
  • Wastewater project experience (piping extensions/rehabilitation, new pump stations/rehabilitation, treatment plant rehabilitation for various types of treatment processes, and new treatment plant projects)
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related area preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Associate Project Manager on small-to-mid-sized projects
  • Oversee project deliverables and completion of projects
  • Assemble project teams and assign individuals tasks
  • Develop/communicate project scope, schedule, and budget with clients, team and outside contractors
  • Primary contact for client
  • Monitor project budgets, review costs and track planned budget to ensure project stays within budget
  • Ensure timely completion of project by securing appropriate resources for all stages of the project
  • Identify/resolve problems to prevent additional costs
  • Organize/conduct regular project meetings
  • Document all project deliverables and maintain records
  • Build/maintain client relationships
  • Coordinate contract negotiations
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Adhere to regulations and enforce safety standards
  • Meet/exceed client expectations
