About The Position

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our staff in Augusta, GA. Our innovative water and wastewater engineers collaborate closely with clients to plan, design, permit, and construct systems that address their needs comprehensively. This approach allows our clients to make smarter investments, resulting in lower life cycle costs and additional benefits. As a recognized leader in the Southeast water industry, our projects encompass treatment and infrastructure initiatives for municipal and institutional clients. Our work ranges from drinking water supply to water reuse and wastewater management. We have the capability to support projects of all sizes within a flexible and innovative team environment. Primary Function: This position will plan, design, provide construction administration, and possibly manage aspects of multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems for municipal clients throughout Georgia and the Southeast region. You’ll be exposed to a full range of water and wastewater facility projects including water/wastewater treatment facility green field projects, upgrade and expansion projects, process upgrades or rehabilitation projects, water distribution and storage systems, transmission pipelines, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and other water utility related projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field required
  • 4 - 10 years of experience within municipal water/wastewater and/or public works field engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) required
  • Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Understanding of water treatment/distribution and wastewater collection/treatment principles and state regulations is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water / wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
  • Performing or managing engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.
  • Coordinate with the multiple departments and sub-consultants required for multi-discipline projects.
  • Research and utilize available resources.
  • Lead or assist a project team in completing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Gathers data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources.
  • Perform calculations and research in support of designs using engineering formulas and skills in formulating possible results based on different scenarios.
  • Prepare engineering reports, opinions and recommendations.
  • Maintain completed project files and proper document control.
  • Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, material quantity take-offs and develop construction cost estimates for projects.
  • Provide other duties as may be assigned by the Project Managers/Task Leads to support project team.
